Soldier, man and boy from age of 15 and 2 weeks; seeing service throughout the world; involved in the Libyan revolution (1969, Turkish Invasion of Cyprus(1974) and Falklands Conflict (1982). Served 25 years in the ranks before feeling God's call to ordained ministry. Candidated for the Methodist Ministry shortly after the Falklands War and was accepted for training whilst still serving. Spent two years in civilian ministry before re-entering the army as a Chaplain in 1996, saw service in Germany, UK and NI before taking up post as Chaplain to Troops Hereford in 2004. Retired from post Easter this year (2013) and am presently "Without Appointment" until September 2014.
